It was a good game, but i am sorely regretting i bought it now.

Homeworld 2 was the best 3d space game I have ever played, you have a long way to go, but keep up the good work.

lol, well lets see. How about upgrading your drivers. Update the game, of course if you pirated it guess you won't be doing that.

perhaps there is a problem with your memory.

Comparing this game to Homeworld2 is like comparing Civ4 to Age of Empires2 or Rise of Nations. TOTALY DIFFERENT GAMES bud. One is a turn based strategy the other is a tactical RTS. go figure.

It looks like a standard Starforce related error to me.

You should try to clear your temp folders and see if that helps.

What exactly is the point of this post? If you're unhapapy with the game, then don't play it anymore. Why waste your time on the forums. The majority of the people here love the game and have no problems running it. If you want help getting the game to run properly, why don't you just ask politely instead?

Anyways, you should make sure that you download the latest patch and update your video drivers. This game uses alot of new high end graphics features that old drivers (~2004 and before) probably don't support. If that doesn't work, then post your debug.err file that is in your galciv 2 directory here. Just open it up in notepad and copy and paste it.

Dont be arses, alright? Plenty of people have crash problems WITH the right drivers and WITH the newest patch. GalCivII is a brilliant strategy game, my fav one of all time, but it was released with alot of bugs... Alot even by EA's standarts.

Best game i ever played was... hmmmm i think it was probably Medieval total war. Either that or spy hunter on the Atari, someone told me that if you played long enough eventually you drove to a town. In the town it turned into a new game where you walked around shooting people Cant believe that i actually believed the massive lier!

I wonder if he tried to run it on a piece of crap comp with an integrated 16mb graphics chip. or if he's just a moron? I vote for moron. only a moron wouldnt bother to get help trying to run it. i've not really had any problems, like everyone else has said if you really wanted help you should have asked and it would have gotten fixed proabably but instead you had to bash it on a forum full of people who like it, what did you expect to get back? oh.... and battlefield 2 was the best space game i've ever played (oh wait, that wasn't a space game) you've got a long way to go, but keep up the good work. haha.
