Options you'd like to see added to GC2

This is just a list of options and things I'd like to see added to the game, that aren't in 1.1

1) Random alignment for races

2) Political events and party-switching events, as well as events that carry penalties.

3) The ability to make races major or minor- so if I wanted the Snathi as a major, and the Iconians as a minor- I could design the game as such.

4) The humans and the AI to play by the same starbase rules

5) Anomalies to develop in-game, similar to how they did in GC1.

6) Ability to make UP laws pernament when they expire.

7) The AI to have the ability to use your shipyard designs from previous games, if they are stronger then the default ships.

8) Military starbase SOC

9) Ability to stick multiple attack and defenses of the same type on a military starbase

10) Minor races to be in the UP

11) The AI recognizes tech trading to an enemy, and drops relations accordingly.

12) The "good deal" tech trade event reworked so the AI doesn't offer too nice of a deal to either the player or AI.

13) A feature to head to any star system/planet by typing in the name- I haven't seen that feature yet in the game- it gets annoying on gigantic maps.

14) Destabilization and counter-espionage from GC1

15) More worlds rebelling due to poor approval ratings.

-ALL MINOR RACES WITH THEIR OWN PORTRAIT (THIS IS THE MUST HAVE)
-Option to choose Minor Races in your game
-an option to fix all default race abilities
-allow tech trading only between allies
-all improvements, techs or units should be displayed with their relative cost in planetary and tech screen
-option to give minors the possibility to colonize their star system or to colonize with a cap of 4-5 planets
-Minor Races in UP (but they need first to be better personalized)
-starbase modules that give starbase a greater range and HP
-fixing experience cheese creating a cap for HP points to experienced units
-more information, more transparency, more information, more transparency

-to be able to defend non military bases and freighters like planets,by parking a ship beside them.it would cut down on micromanagement.In fact I would cut way down on military modules for non military bases.To be able to escort your freighters.
-To be able to change a tile from one special to the other for a cost,without having to decomission the first building.Especially when you can't go back to low cost factories or upgrades later on.
-to be able to rieceve sensor reports from all your ships,starbases,and planets sensor ranges.With a filter such as sensors from type of ship,picking up ships from races your at war with.It would be in the report screen with a go to button.
-a message in the Gnn telling you when an election is coming up.

thats not that hard at all to do, just go to the raceconfig.xml file and mod it until your heart is complete.

1: Ability to change size and rotation of modules and extras in shipyard while mounted !

2: Ability to choose how often UP meets (pregame).

3: Option on how many resource units to have on map (influence, morale an so on:).

4: Map editor and more options for random maps.

5: Bigger map with Ability to have all races on the map!!!

6: Ability to "Ask" an enemy to surrender (to 1 self).

7: Ability to see if a ship is in orbit, at the ship / planet list.

8: Ships set to auto attack, should stay that way and should have an icon to display it (same for sentry and so on)

9: Ability to put weapons on "Elite" ships (really sucks to a flagship with no weapon but alot attack points from Anomalies).

planets rotate around suns

penalty for attacking minor races rather then any minor race that pops up a free size 15 planet to the first to get there

space monsters

the ability to move rally points and keep their setups..

Rally point just for constructors, warships, transports

the free anomoly sensor tech to be earlier or ditch it .. it comes to late to be of any value

do away with a few clicks here and there ... like selecting new ship design from planet screen should not requier a done click.... the certain modules that pop up a starbase screen that I never read requires 3 extra clicks, just let me right click on a starbase to get that screen if I ever want it.

The ability to raze tiles on captured planets to rebuild when non touchable special structures are present.

Penalty for being evil since they get the benifits of all the moral choices

You should nt be able to be evil then buy your way out ... Like anyone will be to the good side and have to pay to go neutral or evil, its simply for the evil guy to buy his way out at that point since he made all the choices to mkae is race stronger already.

Anomolys that pop up from time to time, the anomoly race is over way to quick with 9 races. Or make anomolies kill a ship 75% of the time related to tech level of anomoly sensor or ship. Anomoly tech is useless 10% of the way into the game as is.

The AI to not give away starbases or when you capture an AI planet with centers that dosent superceed your own ability to creat a single tech/manufacturing/financial capitol

The ability to mark ship designs as keepers or to be automatically deleted at the end of a game.

boarding parties techs, maybe steel techs present on a ship. Big wish here this is prolly a biggie.

I like CIv IV's diplomacy where you can see whats driving the AI to feel one way or the other about your race.

The only resource in this game is money you can do anything with it ... buy techs, get races to declare war, sell you starbases., buy ships, buy civil structures. We need some strategic resources not just the starbase mines that are very nice to have but not required. Can you trade frictionless clothes and stil get the benifit from them yourself?

You can see what the AI is feeling in regards to your race on the diplomacy screen, though it is a little basic.
Trade goods you can trade and still get the benefit. The AI never offers it- it should. Make that point number 16

want I want atm is to have the option of making the relations beween the player and the computer players permanent - I've had enough of starting a game being at wat then have them talk to me all teh time trying to get me to sign a peace treaty :-/

For anomalies: how about have some anomalies that are artifacts that your race has to study for a few years (or even longer depending on how powerful it is) before it gains the benefit from it. You find the anomaly and it just sits there until the time is up, and then you get the reward. Or maybe you have to spend time researching it.

I'd like to see a stealth technology tree. I mean, we're doing that stuff now in our own american military. Why not in the game?

And it would be cool to have individual resources that you had to mine to do improvements and stuff. Like metals for building factories or something. But then the game would also involve trying to control the sources of the materials.

Options I want in the Game:

1. A Strip Bar add-on for starbase.
2. Naked images of dancing alien women for the victory screen. Or men if your into that.
3. Orbital bombing so i can just eradicate a whole population and re-colonize the world instead of invading.
