What Do You Think is the Best Galactic Wonder?

Personally I think that the Eye of the Universe is the best wonder, especially in the early game. Who wouldn't want a 15 parsec sensor radius for free for all your ships and stations.

So let's hear your thoughts on the best wonder.

The one that gives +25% diplomacy (diplomatic translators?). The gift that keeps giving...makes trading better/more profitable and keeps those pesky aggressive races off your butt. The Eye one is nice but a few well placed censor ships can do the same thing.

BTW, does anyone thing planets should get increased sensor ranges too somewhere?

Eye of the Universe are my must have on a gigantic map but....

Tri-qui center! AWSOME as hell if you are out conquering the galaxy.

No Mercy Invasion Center! This thing owns in combination with the above and Mini Soldiers invasion tactic!

All 3 of these are sweet.

I have been very pleased with Harmony Crystals. The +20 morale is getting my economy out of a deficit and winning me influence victories.

Everything is great. I build all Galactic Acheivements every game. Not all Trade goods. But for those of use that don't bother with sensor pickets, the Eyes really are pretty cool. I likes them a lot!

Hull Galactic Acheivement, by far.

I usually prioritize them as
(1) Diplomatic Translators
(2) Eyes of the Universe
(3) Micro-repair thingies (I think this is the only +repair bonus in the game)
(4) Tir-Quan Training
(5) Xanthium Plating

The ones for common bonuses (+Morale) aren't worth as much as the ones for rare or unique bonuses

If Galactic Privateer will be fixed it will be surely the must build wonder in all my games.Eye of the Universe is the second for importance in my opinion

I love the Eye even though it' definatly fits into the "no need to really build because you can duplicate it" category.

Here's what the Eye has that's better though --- It's painless, it makes those sensor ships you build that much better, and it doesn't wake up from Guard or Sentry every turn.

I love getting Translators and also gun for the Empathy one... I can't recall the name but it's the one that makes other races more likely to surrender to you if they surrender. Nice.

Eyes is a requirement on a gigantic map for sure, but how are you all ignoring the Galactic Bazaar - it's basically a double strength Diplomatic Translators, not to mention the Restaurant of Eternity which means you never have to build an embassy or CIC anywhere & increases your early game influence area which means more tourism income when you really need it.

Diplomatic Translators are the best by far. Tir-Quan is second, followed by Xanthium Hull Plating

Everyone has mentioned the obvious ones ...here's one I like no one mentioned :

Galactic Bazaar. I'm pretty sure its a galactic wonder, and it lets you do silly things like trade "sensors 1" for "research academies, xeno banking, terraforming and majesty" if you also have diplomatic bonuses .

That might be a slight exageration, but you get the idea.

My favorite improvement is the Aphrodisiac. Population is the key to a healthy economy, and 50% increase in population growth is absolutely amazing! It is also very helpful when conquring new territory for quckly building up your "soldiers" to both defend planets you take and supply troops for subsequent invasions.

I would say the Terraformer is the best wonder. The reason is you can use the more devastating invasion tactics, and yet, if you win, the destroyed ground is replenished, as well as having access to ground that the recent occupants didn't have access to.

I thought it was a Super Project

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but it's totally Hyperion Logistics Centre. That thing just turns the whole game around for me.

All people here seems to have different views about wonders importance it's a clear sign that they are all balanced.

In a peaceful galaxy, diplomatic translators to make the most of everyone else, since you're all on speaking terms.

In a war-torn galaxy, eye of the universe. spend your time making attack ships without taking up space with sensors or wasting time building a sensor ship to go with each fleet. turns freighters into an awesome spy network, too so you're never caught unaware.

It does????? woah.... I just get around soil/habitat/terraforming by being neutral... but i didnt know about this....

That's not how it works, in my experience. The Orbital Terraformer instantly makes all the yellow, orange and red tiles available to build on, without having to first build Soil Enhancer/Habitat Improvment/Terraforming on those tiles. When you take over an enemy planet, these tiles become available for you to build on, even if they weren't available to the former owner.

But reductions in PQ due to invasion tactics are still taken from the total. So you're still penalized for using, e.g., Mass Drivers as your invasion tactic.

Also in my experience, Orbital Terraformer is entirely equivalent to choosing Neutral as your alignment. There's no reason to get both.

I like the Galatic Privateer, I dunno if it actually does anything, but after I build it the AI players refuse to attack my shipping anymore, even if it routes directly past one of their planets.
