ships don't move when autopilot on

I was just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or maybe i have to change some settings. When i click on the minimap or the regular map to move a ship and the ship goes on autopilot but it does not move on its own each turn. I have to manually move the ship. I was just wondering if i may be doing something wrong. sorry i read some more posts and found out that the autopilot moves at the end of the turn.....working good.....thanks for the awesome work guys and for this great game...

The autopilot moves ships at the end of your turn, when you hit the turn button. This is different then the beginning of the turn, like other strategy games.

For example:
Turn A: You move the ship entirely (0 MP left). Then you put it on autopilot. Click the turn button.
Turn B: Your ship, though on autopilot will not have moved for this turn yet. Click the turn button again.
Turn C: Your ship moved for turn B, but not currently for turn C.

And so on.

i discovered (by accident) that calling up the planets/ships dialog and clicking on the ship will move it for you, and preserve the autopilot location. I prefer to have my ships move during my turn instead of after it (its also a great way to keep auto-survey and the like enabled)

I did notice that the ship doesn't start moving until the END of the turn, which might appear as if it isn't moving that turn, but once the first turn has finished it should start moving next time.

I also think there is an option somewhere to "follow" ships that are on auto pilot... you might not notice that they are moving if you have this off.

Oh and I am assuming you do see the "Auto Pilot" under the ship?
