I was playing an influence war and was doing pretty good. Had 73% of the territory under my influence. I saved the game, had dinner...came back... loaded.
Immediately I noticed that my influence had gone down to 71%..no big deal...but in just a few turns, I went down dramatically...to 30%! this happened in less than 5-6 turns! and I just kept going down from there until I lost in a span of some 20 turns...this is after steadily gaining influence for years.
I read somewhere that this was a bug in galciv 1, which I never played. Can someone confirm if this is a bug or something else was out of whack?
I had starbases, sometimes two overlapping each other, with +382 influence, but completely submerged in the other race's influence.
