video card

Hello everyone, just purchased the game and in checking the manual I have a question on the video requirements. I may be just alittle dense here but do you have to have a stand alone video card or is it a recomendation for better quality video. I have a integrated nvidia chip with 128 ddr ram shared with total system ram of 512. Since I dont like that setup I'm saving for a better card but I'm still a couple of weeks away from getting a nvidia with 512 megs that should hold me for awhile. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Should work. I'm running on a slow intel integrated graphic ship with shared memory and it is ok...
Remember to install the latest nvidia drivers...

As horgel2 said, you should be okay although I highly recommend not just upgrading the video card, but also adding some system memory (cheap, easy, and efficient at least up to around 1 GB or so).

I run the game on much lower specs and it definitely works fine. AA is automatically switched off for the cut scenes but this is not a big deal.

The only thing you should assure is that you have the newest video and audio drivers and the last version of DirectX.

Thanks for advice, didn't want to wait to start playing the game. I'm a long time strategy gamer played Civ's 1,2,3; MOO1,2 and a somewhat disapointing 3; and Masters of Magic [wish they had done a sequal to that one ] was going to buy GC 1 but it sold out and they never got anymore in. Hope this game is what MOO3 wasn't. I did have a MOO3 game going that was interesting got to 635 moves but a bug in the game made me go bankrupt. Hope this game doesn't have a simular problem thats along time playing on the weekends to have a bug pop up. Thanks again.
