Took my money,no game download

no emailed serial number for download

I paid last nite thru my paypal account to get the game download. I checked my bank account...I am now poorer to the amount of $44.95 yet have recieved no email to start downloading the game. I emailed my situation to stardock customer support....nothing.
So to sum up....no game...no money ..no response.
I am more than dissapointed after hearing such great reviews about this company's customer service.
Any advice would be welcomed...thanks in advance.

As Spaxspore said, its the weekend

Did you check your e-mail account? There is a link in the e-mail they send to the D/Loader, IIRC.

You can also log back in and get the email resent to you if the first one doesn't come through (which is what I had to do).

I got an email from Brad at 3:30am about 3 years ago regarding my purchase of an Object Desktop Pro order. With that in mind if I was you I would not worry about things. Hey shit happens and so does real life.

If you contacted them they will respond. Hell even if a war kicked off - even then I'm willing to bet Brad would do something if only to post on this board.

On a personal note, If you want the DL link email me (with proof of purchase from paypal) and I'll give you mine as I did not use it.

Well, if they can take your money on the Weekend, they can email you the link on the weekend too.

Do you have a spamblocker set to only accept certain email addresses? Stardock sales has always exceeding my expectations.

lol the ultimate way to do buisness get ppls money and u dont have to give them anything in return its even more revolutionary than the no copy protection on the disks! no but seriously itll take a day or two alot of ppl are ordering this game and its the weekend

Also, check if your ISP has anti-spam software. I have SBC, and they have automatic spam-blocking that has blocked a couple of legitimate emails with keys/purchase receipts from vendors before.

Yeah, the guy swiping his credit card should have at least given a receipt after getting his signature.

Silly people, lol.

Enter the email address you ordered under originally to receive an email with the serial numbers and download links for the Stardock products you have previously ordered.

Uhhh. Did you actually read the last page when you purchased it???? Hmmm???

You don't need the email. It gives all the instructions on the last page. Did you print it out like it said????

Jeez. *Shakes Head*

You don't need the email. The email is just a receit. On the last page, it gave you your Serial number and what do you to download. Have you downloaded Stardock???? Have you created a Stardock account??? Did you even read the instructions of what to do???? It was all very clear and very simple. I paid and was downloading in about 2 minutes ... without even looking for the email.

I am not an idiot...I am a 40 year old College Graduate. So rudeness is not appreciated. I recieved no such "last page"..I was told I would be emailed the activation codes. Yes I created a Stardock account...hence the ability to post here. Thanks to everyone else though for the encouraging words...I'll give it some time...nothing else I can do at the moment.

Disapointed in Stardock's customer service? Outraged that someone isn't sitting around there on a Saturday morning to answer your email immediately??? Ha.

Yes you did recieve a final page you simply did not read it. It is your error not theirs. This account is a Galciv account, not a Stardock account. Have you downloaded Stardock yet?

Yes I was rude. But when people make mistakes and then blame them on other people ...

I've seen it all.
Smart, respectable people posting on forums is totally new to me.
I applaud your respectibility.

Hang in there, John. You'll hopefully be ruling the galaxy soon enough ... just watch out for megalomaniacal space squirrels.

I wouldn't worry, SD reads the forums and their service is top notch. Offcourse I wouldn't expect them to work in the weekend to solve problems but then I didn't expect them to fix a "activation" problem for me before I emailed them.. (Was a bit of a suprise when I got an email stating something like "Hello, I've noticed that you have exceeded your activation count and have reset this for you. You should not have any trouble activating GalCiv2 from now on.")

I am not stupid...sigh...there was no "last page". I have a Stardock account...ie. I am posting here.
Thanks to everyone else however for the positive feedback. Guess I'll just play the waiting game...nothing else i can do.

No one is saying your stupid please don’t think such things. Some folks are just quick with the flamethrower oriented retorts.

For what its worth, these guys are here nearly 14 hours a day (given some of the post times) so one could expect them to be "home" from time to time.

Sadly enough at the moment it appears to be an inconvenient time for you however. Believe it or not fate has done worse to far more people. I hope you feel better now as I know I do just thinking about it !

You mean other than d/l the game?

Are you just trolling for the hell of it? Have you followed the links provided by #11 & #14?

If you are really a paying customer, You can and should be playing right now.

Check your mail thoroughly becuase the email containing the activation code is automated and sent upon recieving your payment, I acquired mine seconds after i payed via paypal. Check all stages of the transaction, double check your mail, tinker with your account info, email tech support again. A moderator or someone with the ability to make things happen will most likely see this post anyway and resolve the situation for you. Oh and make sure youve used the same email address for ALL your dealings with stardock.

Make sure youve got the latest version of stardock central, if you login there correctly and go to the games tab, gal civ 2, tools, and then registration the code should all ready be entered for you, all you have to do is press ok.

The initial process is automated, to the best of my knowledge there is noone who submits billing information by hand. I suggest just keeping up with this thread update it and give your email a day. Good luck.

Some people here need their manners upgraded.

Ignore the kids John - it will all be sorted soon.
