Major bug when entering the game

I can load up galciv 2. The problem lies when I try and play the game. Currently, if I start a new game, or load a saved game, it crashed to desktop. I have no idea why, and I'd prefer not to have to reinstall, as I like my saved games, and really don't want to download it again from your website.

Post the contents of your debug.err file. It's located in your GalCiv2 directory.

First off. Update those video drivers.. Nvidia just posted new ones yesterday, before that the latest ones were Feb 2006.

I have the same problem, but is the first time I play the game and I have already updated my video drivers.

Wow. . . a Rage 128. . . The problem for you is that there are no recent drivers.
And the fact that the card is woefully outdated, you'll have to throttle... everything.
