galciv2 always crashes after some hours of gaming

there is not a single galciv2 game that havent crashed..
heres some data from winxp event viewer:

Faulting application galciv2.exe, version 1.0.0.1, faulting module galciv2.exe, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0x00015a45. <=from event viewer

The application, C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\galciv2.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 03/17/2006 @ 23:37:32.078 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 00415A45 (galciv2)

i have the latest patch installed + collectors edition addons

Can you please post your debug.err info? It is generated in one of your stardock folders and has alot more info on why you might be crashing.

Another reason may possibly be your ram getting too hot. If your system has'nt been cleaned on the inside in a while, go take a air compressor to it and blow out the insides and see if it helps.

A heat related crash would be a sound like *bwwwweewwwww* as Windows shut the machine off for you.

Hmm...
I had the same problem and it ended up being an old video driver problem.
I have a nividia geforce 6800 and I had thought I updated my video driver to its latest.
When I had these problems I used windows to search for a driver, bad idea. ("upgraded" me to a 2004 version)
I decided to go back to the nividia site and download a version for all nividia cards.
That fixed it, now all it does is run slow after 6 or 7 hours.

i have the latest nvidia drivers but no remedy.....
