Terran Alliance Starting Abilities?

I want to restore the Terran Alliance to its original ability set. The probelm is, I don't know what that is anymore, and there is no button that seems to do this. Does anyone know what those abilities are, or a way of doing it short of re-installing the game?

Thanks!

Go to the "Abilities" tab and hit reset near the bottom next to where it keeps track of your remaining ability points.

It resets everything to 0 on that screen, but if you go "back", I'm pretty sure it resets to all the default bonuses.

not that i could see, i used a all pick race thing, where you could max out all abilities for the fun of it and when i replaced the edited ones with the backed up originals, the human race is screwed up. lol

If you modify the Story Campaign Human Race, it affects the custom game human race, which is a pity.

I think they need to insert a default race templates.

You know, the more I have played, the more I actually wish the core races were unmodifiable. Leave the custom races to.... customise and have 9 distinctly flavoured races.

I am even starting to think about creating distinct abilities for each race and setting them up to always be that.

Try clicking choosing another race -> Next -> Back -> pick humans again
I remember having this problem and wish we had a race default button (or as the above guy said, unmodifiable).

Go to My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2, delete the customrace-named files therein.

We have added a Clear button, in 1.1. This restores the races default abilitys.

This I agree with COMPLETELY!

Will they default to their "cleared" state when you add them as computer players, too? Or will they still be "customized" core races?

In the meantime, you can choose custom race, click on load and delete CurrentCustomRace0.
This will return the Terran Alliance to their default.

And I'm quite sure that the AI always uses the default even if you have customized the race yourself.
