Game Crashing with new games

I just recently got the game. And after going through 4 hours of trying to get it installed and updated i managed to get it done. After watching the intro, starting a new game, selecting my race blah blah blah. When it goes to the load screen for the new game I get a quick flash of the blue sceen o death and my computer restarts. Here are my laptops stats
P IV 3gig
1gig ram
Mobility Radeon 128mgs of ram
60 gig hd 20gig free
disabled all background apps
desktop is 1600x1200 32bit color

Well, you need to find your debug.err and post it. Also, you need to make sure your drivers are up to date for gfx card and sound card. Get that info up and hopefully we can figure out what it is. My money is on old laptop drivers.

You can find your debug.err file under the folder your Galciv2.exe file is located.

It can be opened using notepad.

Open it in notepad and post its contents.

Since you're using a Mobility Radeon it might be difficult finding up-to-date drivers. If your laptop manufacturer doesn't have any recently released drivers, then try OmegaDrivers. They're an unofficial repack of official drivers, but others here have reported that they work quite well.
