Getting Collectors Edition features for normal edition

Hey I heard about this game from Penny-Arcade.com a week or two after it had already come out and was so impressed by both their review and the one on GameSpot, that I ran out to BestBuy to get it. No one else in the area had it, and the only BestBuy that had any left wasn't really that close to me either. I didn't even know there was a Collectors Edition until I went to download the updates and now I feel kind of cheated. Is there anyway I can pay a few bucks more to unlock the CE features or am I SOL?

Well you can go to the downloads section and try downloading the CE content. It seems some people are getting it even with the regular version. It's possible it is available for anyone to download, but I haven't read that officially anywhere.

I think the only thing now that you would be SOL for is getting an actual poster of the Tech Tree in the CE version.

(But, you can now download that too).

EDIT: Oh! And a box. You get a spify looking box with CE.

I'm not clear here - are the extra components from the CE available from Stardock? I haven't seen them listed...

I was looking through the 'ship builder' and there are items in there that are specifically for the CE? hmmm....

well it also says 3 new large hulls i dont see them anywhere in my ship plate for ship construction

Yeah its odd, I don't have the CE either yet I got the CE content and the other CE downloadable stuff.

The 3 new hulls are for the Yor, Terran, And I think the altarians. Not sure on the last one thought.

i looked at terrin there r no new hulls just the same old 3 ones
