Does GCII not like SLI?

English is not my primary language so please excuse any mistakes.
I recently built a new PC system with a SLI graphics setup. I purchased GCII two days ago and have serious graphical defects that have rendered the game unplayable. I tried everything I could to get the game to work. On a whim I decided to disable SLI and wouldn't you know it, that cleared up all the problems.
The game still has an amazing frame rate with 1 GPU enabled and with all the settings maxed.
I do not mind playing the game without SLI, but I was just curious to see if this is a known problem or just a problem with my setup.
How many here use SLI or Crossfire?
How many if any at all experience problems?

I am very excited about this game and this community, I have been doing alot of reading of this website over the past few weeks and it is refreshing to see a company treat their customers like friends and not as annoyances.
Stardock does not try to mislead its customers about its products or for whatever reason keep their games and updates a mystery. They even let us in on sales data! I have never known a company to do that.
I look forward to being a part of this community.

Nvidia has a list of games that support SLI. Nvidia has to add support on a per-game basis. I am not sure if GC2 is on that list. If it isn't, that could be why you are experiencing issues. Thankfully, GC2 does not need SLI to look and run beautifully so you should be alright.

It's possible SLI has issues with the game. I used to run an SLI setup (2x 7800 GTXs) but I had quite a few hassles with it. The main problem was that you can't use dual monitors with SLI, you have to disable one of the cards to get the 2nd monitor to work.

I just gave up and bought a single Radeon X1900 XTX and sold my 7800s.

I have an SLI system and Love it. I run one 6600GT one one monitor and one 6600GT on a second monitor. Lightning Fast dual display. I found that GalCiv2 runs fine on the Primary Card and Monitor but has issues if I run it on the second monitor and card. You can't run SLI on dual displays but you sure can run two displays with there own card and it's great.

I have two 7800 GTX in SLI right now and have no problems with dual monitors or with GC2. Welcome to the community, though, Fallschirmjager88!

This is the first game to give my cards problems. The only other defect I have noticed is in Far Cry, you can see a defect line where the rendering of one card ends and the other begins. It is not that big of a deal (even less so when you are running at 85 FPS at 1600x1200 )
I purchased two 7800 GTX cards. I wanted a Radeon X1900 but they are not yet avaliable in Germany and are around 200 USD more expensive than the cards I purchased.
Now the Geforce 7900GTX has come out and is even better than the 1900
Never ending

This is hardly an issue though, a single 7800 GTX chews through the game with no problems.
I started this thread more out of curiosity and to let the developers know about the potential for a problem.
If there is ineed a problem then they can contact Nvidia and hopefully the next driver update will let SLI work with GL2
