Starport Defect

On me manufacturing capital planet i upgraded my starport to one of those hyperion starports and now i cant launch ships, so i though the hyperion starport didnt act as a starport as well and tryed to build anotehr one, i couldnt. Just couldnt find the icon for any of the available squares. Im still new to this game so maybe im just stupid but please let me know if this is not a bug.

You can't upgrade to the hyperion projects. They are separate from the starports. You still need a starport if you want to build ships. Upgrading does not involve decommissioning an improvement and building a new one which is what you had to have done.

yea i must have just built a new one but now i cant built another starport, none of my open spaces have it and i also cant demolish and built one on any of my other spaces.

I suppose there could be a bug where you can't demolish a starport and then build one again latter. I've never tried that myself.

I just replaced my starport with a factory, and then changed the factory to a starport again without problems.
You do know the list of buildings can scroll up/down if there are a lot of options don't you?

I've had this happen. I accidently built the Starport on a tile with a nice 300% manufacturing bonus. When I noticed it I demolished the Starport so I could use the tile for a factory and just put the Starport elsewhere. However the Starport was never available as an option for me to build on that planet again. Wasn't happy as it was a Class 16 with lots of production facilities.
