i have reaserched allaince, and i am friendly with other nation. but i cant make alliance. on trade option screen.
how can i make alliance? ty

Your relations with the other civ have to be "close", which is a step up from "friendly".

Sorry Peace Phoenix, but this is not true. Only YOU need to have the Alliance tech, and your relations with the desired race must be "Close" (as Ostsol said).

I've allied with several races that were WAY behind me on the Tech tree, and they didn't have Alliances researched yet (i.e., It was available in the diplomacy window for me to trade with each race). This worked with both Major and Minor races.

krak2pet - I'd recommend donating some of your lesser techs to the race you want to ally with. That will bring their image of you up in their eyes (but it may take a few turns for it to register).
