Oh great, I was hoping Penny-Arcade would do something about this

Penny-arcade is kind of like massively powerful publicity, when Tycho/Gabe says to do something, the gamers masses get up and DO IT, when Tycho/Gabe says the like a game, the gamers masses get up and BUY IT.

Silly gamers...

At any rate, this should get GalCiv2 some more customers

I'm living proof of Penny-Arcade's power. When they talked about GalCiv II in a news post a few months back I book marked the page and keep checking on it as development went on. I promptly bought a copy as I soon as I could get my grubby little hands on one as I've played 4X games before and this one just seemed like it had too many cool features to pass up.

For once, I actually knew what the strip was about. Joy.

Mod idea: replacing the Yor with "Soviet copy protection vendor slash crime syndicate Starforce." -100% loyalty but can steal opponents' income.

The first half of the strip made sense, and then - as usual - they fixated on their usual 'humour'. Usually involving talking about penises.

Are these guys compulsive masturbators, or what?

Obviously I'm not a big fan of Penny Arcade, and never understood what makes them so 'wonderful'.

I do support their charity though (the name of which just vacated my head without a forwarding address...)

Oh yes, Child's Play. Good idea there. Used it last Christmas to donate to Toronto Children's Hiospital.

I think it's more that they know their audience.

Well, that is one possibility.

Aiming for the absolutely lowest common denominator. How wonderful.

I like their type of humor as well as almost all low brow humor. I think its more of an age thing as most of their viewers tend to be in their 20's or younger.

Stuck up snobs who have to look down their noses at anything they don't like. How wonderful.

I'd love to have a Pac-Man t-shirt like one of the characters always wears.

This is a pretty big deal for Frogboy & co. - Penny Arcade has a huge audience. With all the competing products in the market, to have a whole strip of theirs focused on this game is a real coup. As a fan since the OS/2 version, I'm real proud of you folks! This game has come a long, long way.

Congrats and best wishes!

Probably more like mid 20's to early 30's (the average age of a gamer these days). They make no excuses for their crude humor, but they know what's funny.

Are we collectively that old?

They could be the ultimate tech traders, even tradeing/giving techs that they don't own!
