Ethics

Ethics

Are the Ethic goodies (improvements, techs, buildings) done? Unless I'm mistakened it seems that only the Evil Side is done as it has alot of things compared to the Good and Nuetral Sides. Corrected the title from Ethnics to Ethics. My mistake

ROFL!!!

Sorry to laugh and poke fun... but it's e-th-ics.

I can just see that funky ethnic Drengin jewellery now! Or some nice Yor wicker baskets!

To get back to your point..... The Good galactic wonders are there.... as are the defensive techs. Not sure about the Neutral as I haven't played as Neutral since last patch but I am guessing that some of them are still missing.

Lol, now I see the problem, lol.

I mostly play Evil, and checked out the Neutral and Good sides and it seems the evils more worth it. Gives alot more things compared to the Good and Neutral Sides. Will check the other two again later on to make sure.

The good side has the propoer ship component though - they came in the last patch.

But you're right about the opther bonuses - Evil's bonuses are much -much- more powerful than the good's. They get free starbase upgrades, money from freighters that run through their territory, some kick-ass planet improvements (FREE invasion tactics?)

The good have... bonuses to trade and diplomacy with other good races, which usually means the torians and the altarians (with the torian usually getting wiped before you can research xeno ethics)

I tend to prefer Neutral. The extra trade routes are really nice, and being in the middle is pretty good for relations with the other civs.

Yes,
it does seem to me that playing good is currently underpowered and there is no added "fun factor" to keep you going with good. I mean, usually, who cares about trade and diplomacy at the end of the game when the final wars are all going anyway?

People who are going for diplomatic and influence wins who like to win their games without ever firing a single shot like me;)

I think you are missing the challenge here. Being evil and going all military is the easy way out.

It is a lot more challenging (and hence fun) trying to make peace with all the races out there than destroying them. Try playing a game where you are you gained a Allied victory with all races still alive, including the minor ones. That is what I am trying to achieve. Yes, it is a lot easier to 'win' the game by destroying other races instead of making them be peaceful to each other (infact I don't even know if it is at all possible).

Also, not everyone thinks, shoot first, ask questions later.
Anyway, I find going the military route way too easy.
