Help! How do you upgrade a starbase?

I'm playing the first campaign mission and have an economic starbase and Xeno Industrial Theory researched. So according to the manual I SHOULD be able to construct the Adv Starbase Factory module (or at the very least the basic one which requires NO research).

No joy though...if I right click on the base with my constructor ship it just travels to that point without offering me the option to upgrade like it seems in the tutorial. Stopping on an adjacent "square" does nothing either. What am I doing wrong?

Really sorry for the duplicates...it kept dumping me out to an "article not found" screen. I didn't realise they'd been posted too!

Build a constructor ship and route it to the starbase. As it arrives, you'll be given a series of upgrade choices, based on the type of starbase. You can keep building constructors and routing them to the starbase to upgrade it even more. In addition, various technologies you can research will allow for more upgrades.

OK... sorry about my "Captain Obvious" response -- I didn't read your post very well. Dumb suggestion, but try saving the game and re-loading it. Also, try closing out the game and re-starting it. That's fixed a few of these types of issues for me.

Doh!

That's what I was trying to do...thing is when I upgraded the constructor vessel to a faster version I forgot to include the "constructor" ship part!

Well, that'll definately make for a much faster ship, but there might be unwanted side effects.....
