Governors Question

One aspect of the game that I am still uncertain about involves governors. I know that they are meant to help micromanage a planet, but I am just not sure how to use them. Any help appreciated.

hmm yes governor.. aint got the same ring as Yes Minister..

Any way if your talking about the two select options on the planet governor. Leave them on unless you have a really good reason not to use them.

One of the tick boxes will make the governer auto add updates to your buildings as soon as you have that tech (either researched or traded it). ei basic factory upgrades to factory
The other tick box will place in the build que any planet improvement tech you get. soil improvement for yellow tiles, habitate for oraange tiles and terraform for red tiles.

the govenor will also apply the these to any new planets you um aquire (though it is a slight pain to get rid of some of the crap the AI builds at lower levels)
