Re-using transports gives full movement

Sorry if this has already been posted;

If you send in a multi-transport invasion and have transports left over, those transports get all their movement back. You can use this to daisy-chain an entire empire, theoretically.

Yes. It is very advantageous to have a large fleet of fast transports for this very reason. No need to sent them off individually against planets, just take out the smallest planets first (so you lose very little) and keep going for quite some time!

This also happens with colony ships. They can arrive and leave at full speed the same turn. There is a related issue with the creation of fleets. Move a few ships on to a ship which has not moved that turn or has remaining movement. The entire new fleet can move the remaining distance. Fleet movement should be limited to the lowest movement remaining on any one of the ships in the fleet the turn it's created.
