There's been a lot of discussion about a lot of stuff -- marketing, copy protection, you name it. But I think that's all out the window at this point. Word of mouth rules.
Publishers everywhere are going to have to take notice that word of mouth trumps everything else. Be good to your customers. Make games they want, deliver on your promises.
You guys just rock! We are so glad you like our game. And we are so excited about all the cool ideas, mods, suggestions, and other things that you guys are coming up with.
Normally the release of a game is the end of the story other than "patches" to fix bugs. But not this time. Not with this game. Your retail game is just the beginning.
If the site weren't getting so hammered, and I apologize that our forums are so pathetically slow, they were designed with GalCiv1 X 2.5 levels of traffic. Today, GalCiv2.com was ranked in the top 3,000 websites worldwide. So the forums are tkaing a beating. But anyway, as soon as the traffic from the Starforce bruhaha dies down, we'll have the 1.1 specs up. We think you'll like what you see.
