On my latest game after loading a saved game the strategic map was like it was zoomed all the way out and even when I zoomed down the zoom out strategic map icons still appeared and it didn't zoom to the 3D graphics on any part of the map.

I quit and reloaded this save game several times and the same thing happened again and again. I then loaded an older game I had started playing to learn the game and the same thing happened there as well. I even tried starting a "new" game and the same thing was happening. The zoom in feature down to the 3D level was just not working.

Since I am not one to get in a tuss and rush to the forum and start complaining or calling this game crap like some have, I decided to reboot my computer (I had been downloading Guild Wars updates while attempting to play GalCiv II when this happened). So, I thought maybe that had caused the issue. So, after the reboot, I load up my saved game of my current game and well it was still the same problem. Looked like the map of a completely zoomed out map, just icons and when I zoomed in, nope no 3D, same problem as before. BUT! hehe, I said well let me try one more thing and I started a NEW game again and the NEW game had the 3D graphics again, then after this worked from the NEW game, I reloaded my saved game again and wallah it worked I had the 3D graphics again and zoom in and zoom out were working as usual.

I'm just reporting this cause it did happen. Not being a programmer I have no idea why it happened or what caused it. But, at any rate reporting it as a bug and then also finding the fix should be helpful in two ways. So, the devs can look into this and others who might have the same problem can try my fix.

BTW great game am having loads of enjoyment so far and some laughs as well from the comments of the AI during trading. lol Great that you added humor to the game.
