Sigh, i love this game, i really really do. But i get so sick of one particular issue, so sick in fact that it just puts me off, i press ctrl+S and i quit the game. Until i come back and do it all over again..

The issue being that once you have loaded a game with custom ship designs (anything other than the prebuilt), you are basically screwed.
Many times there are several versions of the same ship in the quick build menu, and if you upgrade a ship, there is a large chance that that ship becomes "broken".


Here's a story on how it happened (it has happened 5 times already, with different ships);

I like to build a ship, like an enhanced troop transporter, and just edit it as it is needed. If i need more range, i edit it in and update the ship. If i need speed after i have researched hyperwarps, i update the same ship again.
But the problem begins if i have saved and loaded the game.

Maby it is because im building a ship while updating another or the same ship thats causing the problem, because i think thats one thing that has been consistent when this problem has occured. Not to mention that as soon as ANY ship is saved OR updated, every single shipyard i have starts to build it as soon as i leave the ship builder...

Then i usually get every single version of my ship (version 0 (first) to 5 or whatever the latest one is, all with the exact same name of course)...... ( "Improved Invader" "Improved Invader" "Improved Invader" "Improved Invader" etc..) in the quick-build menu!!
If i am unlucky one night, or maby it depends on how many times i have updated a ship (nothing insane, never more than like 5 times); then my updated design is simply IGNORED!!

So right now, 10 minutes ago, i sat there literally for half an hour trying to figure the bug out, trying to see why my updated design was ignored. No matter what i do its ignored, even if the stats AND the visuals of the ship are the new stats and new visuals in the quick build window AND in the shipyard, it still produces the old version. All....the.....fracking.....time!
So i go back into update.... i save it over and over again.... doing minor visual updates to easier see if it built the new version or not.. But nope!


Is this a known bug? Because the saving/updating of ship designs seems to save soo buggy that its not even funny to play the game anymore. I dunno, maby its because i quicksave alot? Because i load the game at all instead of finish it in one sitting?
