SmackleFunky, you really are a jerk, you know that? Using your little "satire". What did Stardock ever do wrong? It's not really their "uber master plan " to use this story to their advantage. I know them since GalCiv1, and they had the same policy then, 3 years ago. They did not do it for free publicity, you jerk. They did not do it on purpose, and they did not try to raise an uproar towards those bas%$&*s at starFARCE. They just objected (and rightfuly so, wouldn't you agree?) to a post with a way to get pirated version of their game IN STARFORCE MAIN FORUM! True, anyone can easily find a link to any pirated game. It's no wonder that 10-year-olds pirate software, afterall. But you just don't post a link to a pirated software, that's just something you NEVER do! On any official forum! Your post would get locked and you will get a ban if you do this. And who did this? An ADMIN(!!) on one of the most hated protection software in existence. It doesn't matter now that they'll deal with this admin, the gamers that hate Starforce are the ones that thirst for their blood and use this incident to try to attack and get rid of this vicious DRM software, NOT Stardock. And if you think otherwise, you just don't know Stardock at all. These guys are of the purest intentions in the gaming business. SO pure as a matter of fact, that they don't seem belong to this grotesque and violent industry. And I say that based on GalCiv1 a few years ago, when I fell in love with their open way of doing business and supporting their customers.
Stardock, I know I'm with you on this all the way. I never cared about Starforce in the first place (no wonder my system is grinding to a halt and all those errors occur after installing a few Starforce protected games, now that I think about it) but I feel like ripping them to shreds right now. I hope that this incident will cause them the most harm!
