Getting the 1.0x update

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to get the update. Got the retail version, with the collectors edition serial number but i only seem to get 2 links to download the tutorials and the windows desktop theme, still running version 1.0 after downloading both.

Anyone got any ideas?

You need to run the Stardock Central program, select Games from the top left box, then you click on Gal Civ 2, and it will either pop-up a window prompting you to update or you can right click and select the choice for "Check for application updates" Hope that helps.

or go to the downloads section here and manualy d/l the patch

btw i think you need to install the bonus stuff. Then update to 1.0x

Ok, i've downloaded the stardock central and it does indeed list updates but when i try to get them it says i have no game registered.

Also when i try to download the update manually from the site, i enter my collectors edition serial number and it brings up 2 downloads:

1st Enable collectors edition content
2nd Desktop Enabler

But no 1.0x patch. I don't see any link for the 1.0x patch, any ideas is greatly appreciated. Top game by the way!

If you download and install the options you see, does it then enable the patch. It may be one is dependant on already having the other.

Yes i have the european version, got it from Play.com in the UK.

I don't think it has installed the patch, since i would have expected a different version number other than 1.0 when loading. Does anyone have the patch installed and can tell me if thats right?

Thanx for everyone's help/suggestions. I've sorted it now. A case of a little hotlink to the european version when it comes to getting the downloads!
