Probably many of you never heard of the first Galactic Civilizations. Released in 2003, it did pretty well for a smaller title.  But for people who did play it and have wondered what we've done with the sequel, see the link below to see where we went back to the drawing board. :)

Hey if it matters at all.. and we all know it really doesn't. But I was just gonna say.. That the Gal Civ 1 box.. looks much more professional than the Gal Civ 2 box. That and the washed out bland orangeish/red/brown on the cover just makes me go... Blech.

Then again.. I didn't buy the first one because it only had humans.. and the second one I downloaded.. cause I didn't need a box. But if you were to ask me which immediately drew my eye.. the Gal Civ 1 box.

I agree, the Galciv 2 box should have really bright colors like green and blue and yellow all over the box.

If you get the CE of GC2 of the game you will notice the box looks a whole lot better.

DEFINITELY agree about the GalCiv II box. It doesn't live up to the graphical standards set by GalCiv I's box. However it seems that CE of GalCiv II has much nicer box than the original, yet I must say if there is one thing you didn't manage to top in GalCiv II it's the box. LOL!

I've placed my GalCiv 2 box right on my comp desk since I bought it, just a glance away
It doesn't quite look like the one in the picture as it has a much more pleasing deep red glow in the amidst of starry blackness. It also has two small black ships in the distance, as opposed to the one in the picture. Don't believe it is a CE version and I rather like GCII's box just fine.

I've always seen galciv 1 in various stores but never bought it or played it. When I found out about Galciv 2 I download the demo of galciv 1.
