Planet lights not working.

Just so you know the lights on planets do not work. I've only seen them twice, both times on alien worlds, in 3 games.

They NEVER show up on homeworlds as well, its as if only one or two textures are configured for lighting.

BTW I have a geforce 6800.

Never had them show up on the main screen, however i have had them show every time on the colony info screen (the one where your denziens tell you how much you suck at being their leader ).

They show up all the time for me, but I generally have to rotate the view around to the back side of the planets to see the lights.

Yes I do that and it shows up VERY VERY rarely. Like I said, i've only ever seen it on 2 planets. I have looked for them hard and spent the better part of an hour looking at all the planets I had in sight (1/2 the huge galaxy) and found only one planet with them.

Kazriko, do you ever see them on Earth? I have yet to see any on a homeworld.

If anyone wants me to make screenshots I would gladly take a screenshot of every single planet's darkside if that is what I have to do to prove it doesn't work.

Heh, that is a lot of time put in just for a little visual enhancment. It has been said before that it is rare, and is meant to be that way (I think).

I wish people would stop confusing design decisions for bugs.

Its not ment to be rare like that. A planet with 20billion population and fully built up is supposed to have lights, according to them.

Its bugged.

i have a feeling that this is going to be ignored, if the next patch doesn't fix this i'm going to pub this post to 10 pages if I have to.

Sure I know their are more important problems but people have been just brushing this one off.
