Friday Sales update!

Friday Sales update!

Remanufacturing as fast as possible...

The second manufacturing run of Galactic Civilizations II has sold out.  We've now shipped more units of GalCiv II in the first 10 days than the total retail sales of the first GalCiv in its entire history.

We're working getting a third manufacturing run out as fast as possible, however because of the time it takes to manufacture the manuals and boxes there may be some problems getting it at retail soon.

At present, most stores should still have some copies left, however. But availability will lkely start to dwindle as there's no units to replace what gets sold for the next week or so.

Thank you all so much for your support and we hope you're enjoying the game!

This weekend we'll try to put up a sneak preview of what we plan to put into Galactic Civilizations 1.1. Lots of cool new features based on your feedback!

I can say that the 1.1 version will being including a Mirror Universe scenario -- cuddly Drengin and blood thirsty Altarians! Stay tuned!

Some people find internet activation/restricted availability of patches to be more restrictive than starforce.

At least if you have the cd, you can pretty much always run a game. Not true with GalCiv2. What if say, Mr. Waddell gets hit by a car tomorrow? Stardock goes under and boom, no one can get the patch anymore

Hey there...there's definitely a mirror universe scenario already in the game, along with many others. Perhaps you meant something else?

Well, that would suck, but since Stardock is a corporation, it would continue on regardless.

Sounds like a great problem to have! Sounds like you're on top of it, so I'm sure it will be only temporary.

Don't do what a lot of small companies with hit products do, though. Start looking for higher volume manufacturers. A lot of small companies get a hit going, but they can't sustain it because they suck at logistical planning and their manufacturers can only meet a small percentage of the demand.

Start making bigger runs of the game if it's selling out too fast. Nothing worse than losing a sale because you had no product.

Yarlen put that voodoo doll away.

You should have researched more advanced factories before launching the game!

Congratulations on having those problems!

If that will happen (god forbid) I could care less about that damn patch. Bah, you're THAT selfish and inconsiderate?

Brad, don't die! we love you!

Is GalCiv II the most perfected game I've ever played? No.
Is GalCiv II the most perfected space game I've ever played? No
But you guys do try to give good value for money. And succeed!! The news of the future update is prima facie evidence of that!

I had a host of weird problems trying to install this game, to the point of wandering into the IRC chat room for help. I finally managed to get the game to install (it randomly crashed with I/O errors about thirty times before working).

I've enjoyed it ever since. The news of updates, the listening to the players comments and ideas, is a class act all the way. I am glad I put down my hard earned shekels for it.

I'm certain if the company was to suddenly have trouble it would simply release the last patch to the community. (With or without a serial.) Once the patch is in the wild then you can easily get it.

Congrats Frogboy and crew. I'm happy that you guys are seeing the fruits of your labor this time around!
It's a well deserved change! The game rocks so much that I'm sure if I could transition back to GC1.

I just want the Scroll of the Main Play Window (to work when you push the mouse pointer at the corners of the screen) to Work

I'll put my vote on that feature too... can't imagine why they thought this way was better.

I think I already have a "Mirror Universe" scenario in my game ?!?!?

There is, but you can only play as the humans in it. Maybe they're planning on a second Mirrorverse scenario where you can PLAY as the cuddly Drengin or Vile Altarians or Hippie Yor or Virtuous Korx etc...
Can't you already play as drengin, and be good?
