I've been using google image search to find images and sizing/formating them with GIMP. I've found some pretty cool pics that way. So far, I've made a race of space werewolves and a race of your typically "gray" type aliens. The pic I found for my race of "grays" is awesome. The little dude's got a goatee and an attitude. I absolutely love features like this, but does your portrait show up in the actual game anywhere?

yes, whenever u see your races protrait, the one you added & picked will be there... i have done one for the Federation, Stargate,Battlestar galactica, Romulan star empire, all ziped up with readmes, i uploaded them around 3am this morning.. once they r approved they will be added to the libary

EDIT-
Cant find anywhere once you are playing thats shows your personal avatar... however the logo works great... it resizes etc.. this is NOT my logo, thankx to whoever posted it. I just did the avatars... but notice how the game engine automatically resizes it to fit any appearence. Bloody brillant.
