I like GalCiv2 a lot. First time I time zoomed in on Jupiter I was in love. Its simply beautiful.

Still the galactic map is a little bit to empty for me. Where are the dust clouds which prevent scanners? Where are these huge asteroid fields which block movement (If you can see planets….)

Or where are black holes which ships to pass to nearby if they don´t have an advanced engine and slowly suck surrounding starbases /sun and planets in?

Perhaps in a future addition space will show more of its natural beauty.

As for the aesthetic value of the game: The metal box of the collectors edition Europe is a small piece of art.
