How do you attack with multiple transports

Whenever I attack a colony I can only attack with one at a time. So several waves of troops. I went a whole game doing this thinking it was the norm until the people I was at war with attacked with four times the amount of troops the standard transports carried.

How can I attack? I tried making a fleet, but instead I get a invisible fleet that never moves and the transports are on there own.

Get a bigger hull, and put 4 transport modules on the ship. Then you can carry 4 times as many troops on the ship.

I think the troop transports have to be in the same fleet and no attack ships, just transports. And of course you have to have enough logistic points to be able to stack a bunch of troop transports into one fleet by themselves. I had the same issue when I was putting my troop transports with fleet protection, 1 transport and several other ships in the same fleet and then attacking with multiple fleets like this. No more than 500 landed at a time. But, I would use the propaganda attack choice and get a bunch of citizens on my side anyways and still win. heh

Each transport takes up 5 "supply" so you can create fleets of them .... It sort of doesnt matter since having more guys wont let you win with fewer casualties unless you get lucky, and it'll suck more if you aren't. Having more modules on a ship.... it works, but its expensive. I like to have my low production planets make transports while my good ones make battleships or whatever.

once u get advanced troop modules you can put tons on one ship and that will be tons troops on 1 cargo ship(I forgot the exact number) and tons on massive hull.

The "invisible fleet" thing happened to me too. I loaded a save and was able to combine them as normal.

Either add more troop modules to carry more ships, or group up smaller ships into fleets.

And you don't have to (and maybe shouldn't) use mere cargo hulls to carry your invasion forces.

Well, since I'm not at war with anyone (started a new game on my new computer) I guess I'll just wait till my tech is high enough to have a ship with several troop modules.
