Hey guys, i was wondering if the best ships come from you or the game. i made a colony ship into a battleship, its awsome

Well if you made a battleship with 1 HP I'd say that the best ships come from the game. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, you can always make a better ship that is tailor-made for the enemies you are facing.

This may be a dumb question,( I'm a noobie) but evolvedbullet how do you change a colony ship into a battleship? Is this a creative way to get a stronger ship earlier in the game?

Sounds like he put weapons on a cargo hull, which means as HEEGZ put it "you made a battleship with 1hp". Its not really that great idea if you plan on using it for battle since it can die in a single hit.

Fabarian, all of your ships can be upgraded to any ship design in the same hull class; just hit the upgrade button in the toolbar after you select a ship that is not part of a fleet or stacked with other ships.

I think he meant he put a colonization pod on a medium or better hull and added lots of weapons to it.. at least I hope thats what he meant.

Weapons cost a lot of money, so it isn't very efficient to pack them onto a cargo hull that would die so readily. However, you could put a lot of weapons on it, maybe if you were going up against Dreadlords and you know you'd die in one shot ANYWAY.... then you can make the attack, do the full damage of all those guns on the cargo hull, and its HP wouldn't matter.

Well then when i can defend myself against someone? i want to conquer plants and get ships building at a fast rate. I want to have a good armada to defend myself and i want to know if you could possibly convert a non-supportive planet into a habitable planet.

Just attach weapons and defenses onto hulls that have more than one hitpoint.....start with that.
