Luck and Creativity

Greetings, I played a few games with points in those and a few without points in those. Can someone explain what they are good for? Really, I did not see much advantages and I think maybe the points are wasted. With or without luck, I got a few castastrophics events and I did not see more discoveries (with anomalies if it has any link, or research) that creativity gave me. Thank you

I'm not exactly sure what these reference but I tend to notice a few things

a) Luck tends to get you more ethical choices and more random events (like Lucky Rangers!)

b) Creativity - not a clue yet. Some random events tend to be things that are research related and I have noticed a trend for them to pop up more often with creative around.

I know that the Luck is nice for getting Lucky Rangers. I know that I had about a dozen lucky rangers in a game once from GC1 that kept me from having to worry about researching military techs. It also helps in getting good random events. (Like an event that greatly increases your influence for some time, or something like that.)

I have enver used creativity, so I can't help you there.
