Please Help : Planets & Ships have disappeared after last patch

After updating through stardock to the 1.0X010 patch, all the planets & ships have disappeared. In place of planets are white rings and in place of ships are little icons that are the color of my race. I have a nvidia geforce gt 6600 with the latest drivers. Any help is greatly appreciated. I even tried uninstalling and re-downloading/installing the game and the problem is still there. No problems before this last patch.

I am having the exact same problem. I've tried playing with the various settings, and no luck.

I fixed it. Try playing around with the tactical zoom level slider on the Interface screen. Something is wonky with it - I'm not sure what is going on there.

Thanks bigtime Soldier o Fortune. All I had to do was fiddle with that slider one time and all was well again. Give yourself a raise.

I have somehow the same problem and i also have a geforce 6600
ships only show like infared and i only have a halo for planets i messed with the tactical zoom slider and nothing seems to change anything

Anyone have any idea i really cant play the game like this i cant even see anything its like the game is missing textures or something i got everr drivers updated and i tried every combination of interface and video option and nothigng works.

i got the latest patch and i bought the game from stardocks online

Any help please?
