What's throttle frame rate do?

It's a setting in video options.

Just wondering what throttle fame rate does. It's on by default in the video options.

It caps your frames per second to something reasonable. I don't recall the exact number, but if it's not on, your video card may draw over 100 fps and overheat. If you have adequete cooling, it's not a problem. I'd leave it alone, as the human eye can't tell the difference between 90 fps and 900fps, nor can you monitor draw more frames per second then it's refresh rate allows.

It keeps the game from going over 100 fps. (frames per second) There was a problem with newer video cards overheating because they were being pushed too hard, so the developers added this to cut down on the random computer crashes that took place. It doesn't hurt anything, but it probably won't affect you unless you paid over $400 for your video card.
