I'm not too keen on the background fog - not the initial fog before you explore it, but the fog that indicates you can't see that area with your sensors. I think the overall map would look a lot better if the background were mainly the black space with stars. Having sensor range circles would be needed here since currently the fog indicates your sensor ranges. The sensor circles could just be displayed like the influence circles 'cept in a different color. Both sensor ranges and influence circles should be able to be turned off or on. Anyone else not like the general muddy background fog?
