Sphere of influence

Greetings,

Is there a setting somewhere to make the starbase sphere of influence (more a circle) to show up clearer? The difference with the background is so little that I have a hard time to see it. I tried to adjust brightness and other settings (game and hardware monitor) and it did not cut it.

I think the only way to archive this is to choose better Racial Color. I have same problem with Yor for example, that deep purple is hard to see against blank background.

I am the terrans and it is dark blue. I'll try with another racial color.
