Inerface, ships, color change....

Dear programers,

Please give us the opportunity to chang interface color during game. It also would be nice if we could colour our ships during their designing. It shouldn't be hard to do but it would greatly improve the gameplay.
Think about it.

Also can you make some animation or sound while players bombard enemy planet (just like it was in Master of Orion II ) ?

It's already there, dude. When choosing your race, you'll see tabs after you initially select the race. The first tab is like an overview thing, and then the next tab is abilities. The tab after that (I think) is your political party, and the tab after that is where you can set up the aesthetics of your race including basic hulls, color scheme, and interface scheme.

I agree with Orion66, this would be useful. Often while playing I get tired of my interface colours and feel like changing them, except that I can't. It should be a graphical setting just like any other.

Yeah I found that the other day I had ENORMOUS problems seeing my ships on the mini map when I accidentally pick navy blue as my race colour, it was so dark I could hardly see anything at all. LOL.

Yeah after thinking a custom color would be cool only to find out it it sucks... then have to play through the sucker with funky colors.. or a green thats too much like the Torians, etc.. Blue looks like humans can't tell em apart.. etc..

I created once a custom race with red as interface color. Could not differenciate me from the Drengins.. was kinda weird. Specially on the "timeline" screen

Oh. My bad.

I'm sure there's a way to edit the xml files to change the current set-up for a given game, but I don't know anything about that. I haven't even tried futzing around with DesktopX to custom-interface the game.
