I've been watching this thread to see if it would ever get a response and I'll keep watching it...

I've asked this question several times since the game was released to no avail; in chat it's gone unanswered.

I've been unable to determine which is correct and as far as I know, from the responses thus far, neither has anyone else. It would appear only a Developer is going to be able to give a definitive answer to this.

The Manual states:
Courage gives a bonus to the attack value of your ships when you're fighting against an opponent who has a higher score than you. The degree of the advantage is based on how far ahead your opponent is.

The In-game Description reads:
Bravery is not only respected by alien races, but can also give your Soldiers the advantage when fighting a close land battle. Boost this by increasing your Bravery Ability.

If in fact it turns out that the In-game description is the correct one; then in what way is Courage differentiated from the Soldiering Ability?

Manual states:
Soldiering gives you a bonus in ground combat.

The In-game Description reads:
Soldiering: Strong soldiers will nake it easier to dominate militarily. Improve your training skills with a boost in your Soldiering Ability.
