What happens when you leave the league of planets?

In my current game, the league decided to cap the number of modules for starbases to 4, permanently! Although I found a partial way around this, it is still extremly anoying. What is the punishment for leaving the League of Planets?

lmao either you know your history for a slip like that or that is some wild coincidental error... It's not the League of Planets but the United Planets... Since it's the United Planets maybe you can leave without anyone ever doing anything to you... hey it's just a bigger version of the same thing we got here on Earth, right?

The only drawback I can remember off the top of my head is that you forfeit all trade income.

Do you get notified when other races leave the U.P?

For that matter, DO other races ever leave the U.P?

As far as the consequences go, all the other nations hate you and then after you invade a country that never attacked you, you have to go begging to them for help.

Political comments like that really have no place in game forum. There are lots of places on the web that cater to discussions along geo-political lines. I come here to read about a game I enjoy and share ideas with people who feel the same way, about said game.

Here Here. Politics can explode into a flame war in minutes and before you know it there's 10 pages of crap from bickering parties.

Is trade all thats affected? If so then it will be worth it in certain circumstances
Can you rejoin? If so are there any penalties/sign up fees
