So my fingers are still taking a little time to loosen up after holding tightly against the leash which valiantly held the collar of my parents Cock-a-poo named Lady. The families other dog, Rugby, also accompanied us guided by the graceful hand of my younger sister who is staying at the old homestead on her spring break.
I definitely had no say in the naming of our pets. Until recently, we had another dog, a golden retriever, named Jasmine. Apparenlty we had some contract with Disney to ensure that a majority of our pets received names based off of their animated films.
Anyway, it's pleasantly decieving outside. It appears almost hot outside, but without the company of a hooded sweatshirt and hat I likely would've been cold. Lady definitely was enjoying herself splashing around in the puddles, which is why I can hear her whining in the background as she dries off as to avoid getting mud all over the carpet.
We had another snowfall last night and I've been growing increasingly bitter about the weather. March can be such a tease with dramatic shifts in temperature and guaranteed some type of precipitation or another.
With the 23rd birthday creeping up on my quickly I'm realizing how apathetic I am about it. It's not that I really dread getting older. I was remarking to a friend yesterday who asked me my plans, that I think it has a lot to do with not being in the long term relationship right now. When I was birthdays were a really big deal...and maybe there was more pressure to make a large event out of it. Really if I get a free meal or a few beers out of it and a kiss on the cheek I'll be content. I suppose I wouldn't complain if I got some more biking ish either though (wink wink).
Well I'm realizing that I'm mostly just trying to force out a blog entry and this isn't really going anywhere so hopefully I'll be able to share something more entertaining or insightful later this week.
