Still buggy with 1.0X.010

Hi I am german so forgive me any spelling and grammar mistakes !

I installed the newest graphic drivers for my Radeon 9800 Pro (from the official ATI Website), and I patched the game to Version 1.0X.010 and I have the newest Direct X installed !!!
My hardware:
AMD 3000+ 64
1 Gig RAM
9800 Radeon Pro with 128 MB
Soundblaster (cheapest Version^^)

The following bugs are still present:
Sometimes it says NEVER for the remaining production and research time for several rounds although I did allocate more than 0 percent to the corresponding slider and I set the overall production slider to more than 0 percent.

When I upgrade a ship design and save it under the same name as the old design, the old designs are still shown when I click on a ship and choose upgrade. I expect only to see the new version !

When I remove things from my ships sometimes the old stuff that I removed is suddenly shown again.

Sometimes something is wrong with the end turn button, because ships might have 0 movement points left at the beginning of a round and the remaining reseachtime for the researched item is still the same.

The AI on normal is not smart enough it doesnt escort Trooptransporters or other unarmed ships and it does attack me although it doesnt stand a chance. It does not even combine all ships to fleets only some ships god only knows why ^^.

My overall impression is that this game is very very good gameplaywise and the number of bugs are acceptable but I am sure that a few more patches are needed untll this game can be called "bugfree". Keep up your great work !

Could you give a concrete example?

At trivial amounts of production, the game will say that something will be completed "never" generally it means that it will take so long to complete it's not worth displaying.

Try the AI on intelligent. That makes it use it's full abilities and get bonuses to it's economy.

I don't see the "Never" message for production and research unless I have gone negative with my cash balance. Seems to be working for me.

I'm not seeing the End Turn problems you are describing.

I play normal, and I see AI troop transports being escorted a lot. Not every time, but it is common. The AI attacks have pretty effective in my opinion.

After reading the complaints about the AI attacking, I just realized that I have never been attacked by the AI, even though I have played a half dozen games or so. I have only been attacked by the Dreadlords during the campaign. I wonder if it is because I always have a strong military and a good trade network with the civs that they don't attack me?

I've had the never appearing when I have sevreal planets and a very low social spending. It is like the money is first alocated to planet 1 then 2, and when it reaches the less productive planets, there is nothing left. It seems to me it has been this way since GC1 and therefore is not a bug

As for the AI attacking, in my games it has attacked me a lot and often. And probably accepted money to attack me as well ("we don't like your enemy, but we like their money" message). Mainly by the drengin, yor and korx

Probably so. Try delaying building up your military. The AI can't resist piling on.

Yeah, I never build up a miltary until I have to, I just research away. When someone declares war on me I turn right around and start producing high-quailty heavy/light fighters. I never go away from a game without getting into at least two wars.

I have seen the bug that puts the component back on too. I have found that this only happens when I first open the design screen and select a component on the ship right away. If I select a component from the menu on the left THEN select a ship component, then I can remove it for good.
