can't build any ships

I've played three games now, all of which i was not able to build any ships, i had to buy them.

My planets all had factories, in fact, each planet was diverse in terms of the buildings it had on it.

Yet each time i tried to build a ship, the build time would be 'never'. So wut's goin on?

i Assume you had a spaceport on the worlds? And didn't have a negative amount in your treasury?

You need to check your economics, see that you have funds going into military. If you have none allocated or a negative income, ships won't be built. If he did'nt have spaceports he would not even have the option of building a ship.
