Land a colony ship on anything other than Class Zero. Alot depends as far as what you find for planets. What are the specifics of you game? Habitability, Occurance. Give us a few specifice and we can help you out alot more.

Try this to begin with.

I really wish that you could research advanced techs to terraform those class Zero planets. If it exists it would be very cool, it was one of my favorite features of Moo2

Those Zero planets can become habital through random events.

. I think if you have habitable planets on common or abundant that will help. That will increase the percentage % of planets being colonizable for you. Increasing # of Stars/ Planets will also give more chances for more good worlds.

The problem with terraforming class 0 planets is, we sort of had that already in Galciv1. You'd enhance a class-14 planet, and after sinking a lot of money into it, you'd get a semi-useless planet still. I'd say just leave it to the random events to make them useful.

i think it would be cool to build some shielding technology or waste purifier or something like that, and bang, PQ 0 planet becomes PQ 1 to 15 (random), so you could invest in planet and get crap (big chance), good(ok chance) or even very good planet (small chance)....

let's say in our solar system, there is a plenet called Venus, it's realy cool planet, but it have toxic atmosphere (sulphuric acid etc...), if you are advanced enough, you could/should(it's a game) be able to build some devices that would purify that acid, and transform it in water, oxigen and sulphur-something that would be used as a fuel in MR FUSION drives (back to the future, hehe) r something even more complicated (E=m*C^2), so you would use waste for power for devices that would purify the rest of the planet, and bam, you get PQ5 planet! maby some solar shielding rings around the planet (so it wouldn't be so hot) and you have even better planet!

I think it would be cool to build your own worlds in midgame or even mid-to-late game, it could make room for new strategies, like strong research concentration, and when you can terraform your own worlds, you build strong factories on them...
