When they will come up?? I played two-three games (not campaign) and they never show up. Can anyone tell something about this and about them.

maybe because they are only in the campaign.

There are one special playtype with the dread lords in normal games.

Yeah, i wonder if in normal play (no campaign, no scenario) they appear?
Another question: where can i fiend a descripton of the custom galaxies?

Trust me, you don't wanna see those guys! You need to play the campaign for them. They have ships with something like 60 firepower battleship when you just discovered Laser 1. They move pretty fast. All in all, fighting them is mostly useless because they can krank ship faster than you can kill one and when you do kill one ship, most of your ships are gone.

Best strategy i saw this far is a very fast ship with one flashlight on it to kill his transport before they reach a planet. Oh and they attack planet with exactly 10 troops. YES! 10 troops! but with an advantage of 300-600 to 1 against you, you need a lot of population to stop them.

Honestly, the campaign is not that fun. The dreadlord are pretty stupid in what they do (because if they were intelligent, you would not last 10 turns), the other races seems to be scripted too (meaning they mostly hamper you more than anything else. The worst are you allies. They colonize planets, but never help you agains your ennemies. I'd prefer to be alone, thank you!) and you can't distinguish much from one map to the other. Sometimes i had to restart a map completely because i did not choose the correct strategy to win the game and eventually the dreadlord becomes just too strong. A lot of fun to play for 10 hours just to find out that you must start over because you will never win at the state you are.

And the more you advance in the campaign, the more you have to restart. Once the dreadlord are too strong, you can't do anything anymore. Your ennemies, mostly the Drengin, are not putting much of a fight against you on normal level but since you have to cope with scripted allied that hamper you plus the dreadlord themselves, the game is pretty frustrating.

Also, when you finish a map, there is only text to congratulate you. No video, nothing else. WOW! And your score is not sent to the metaverse either so you collect no medals. All in all, i don't like the campaing much. I'm at the 4-5 map and i get tired of having researched the same tech 5 or 6 times in a few days...

I read somewhere that there was a mod for the dreadlord ships. Look into the library on the website.
