micromanagement hell?

hi all,

So far, so good. GalCiv2 has much to give, speaking of fun. Congrats to the team.

Now, I would like my only fear to be dismissed. Just tell me that research points and social points carry over on the next item (tech or building), I'm under the big impression that its not the case. Are we back to the queuing of Civilization II here?

I'm pretty sure they do for research, and I think for social production as well.
They don't for military production though, but I hope this will be changed at some point...

thats a basic functionnality, I mean it was already there in alpha centauri. I wonder how they missed that, in higher difficulty level each production point count, and a week lost can be a severe blow.

im not sure if production carries over excess shields to next ship, but when you have a planet not making a ship, it shouldnt waste shields, unlike social production...

research points go over, social does not, i had planet that could build 1 building per turn, and i put everything in social production, it was still 1 turn (while it sould be something like 3 per 1 turn...) same goes to military, but for military, i think that you don't lose cash spend for nothing...
