Screen dims and brightens at every turn-end

every time i end my turn or anything pops up my screen goes dim and then bright again. it happens more often since the patch. i have a dell xps gen 2, geforce 6800 go ultra. anyone else having this problem????

Happens to me only when I get my quarterly report - screen dims then brightens.

Using a 6800GT. Didn't play pre 1.0X so can't say if it's more frequent.

How often is it auto-saving? I notice this, but only when it is auto-saving at the end of a turn.

Is your autosave set to save every turn? I noticed that happening every once in a while myself until I saw the little "saving" notice at the very bottom of the screen. It dims when it's saving.

Edit: Looks like BlueDev and I had the same idea at the same time. Whoops.

yes, the screen dims slightly when autosaving, who cares, as long as you play without problems

I got the game yesterday and played with 1.0X on a 6600GT, I was experiencing the same but the game ran problem free (apart from having to use the hardware cursor).
