RAAH! I'd reeeally like to know wether i'm the only one experiencing upgrade/obsolete troubles

I cannot for the love of "Xe-Mortzle the Somewhat Greater than Thou" figure out why so many of my designs wont dissappear from the Upgrade Menu!?! I just ruined an entire game by accidentally downgrading my entire fleet of destruction-on-a-galactic-scale to a fleet what is essentially interstellar rowboats

My upgrade list contains more and more ancient shiptypes, and i can't find any way to remove them!!

I have reinstalled several times, and it's a persistent problem.

And btw: it's not at all intuitive to handle several ships/fleets in the same parsec. It's more or less random which ship/fleet i move away from the parsec, and which ship/fleet is highlighted.

And btw: is there a way to upgrade just SOME ships in a fleet, without having to remove those ships from the fleet entirely AND move them individually to an empty parsec??

These are my grieves atm.

Open the "shipyard" screen from your control panel. At the bottom of the shipyard screen you will see several buttons. One of these buttons is for delete, another for obsolete. Either should remove said ship from the choices that pop up.

Becareful you dont also "sell" any current ships of a deleted model. You will get a popup asking if you want to do this.

Hope this is the info you were looking for.

P.S. If ya screw the pooch to bad, just go to last auto-save. I have mine set for every 3 turns.

"Are you naming your upgrades with a new name? Seems to be the only way around it. "
- ok, that might be the trick, even though this gotta be a bug, because I use the UPGRADE button and then save with same name... not the New Design button .

No, the obsolete button doesn't. But i haven't tried the delete button yet. I'll try that.

btw, i didn't notice that my fleet was downgraded before it was too late (4 turns in my game)

I too get multiple iterations of ships on the build menu and can't get rid of them. It is VERY annoying.

Yeah, it doesn't matter if you're clicking "Upgrade", the game will still freak out when you make ships with the same name as the old design. Just add a version number to the end of their names, like v2 or Mk 2 or something.

When you upgrade a ship, it keeps the same name - so if you have "Destroyer MK-1 314" (314 = random numbers added when built), and upgrade from "Destroyer MK-1" type to "Destroyer MK-2" type, the NAME doesn't change. It's still named "Destroyer MK-1 314"; you have to look at the ship type to see that you upgraded. You also have to manually edit the name, if you want.
