Geforce 2 question

Right now I'm using a 2ghz Pentium 4 with 768 RAM and a Geforce 2 MX. I noticed that on the known issues list there's a glitch affecting Geforce 2's that prevents lighting effects on planets. Is this ever going to be fixed? How bad is it? I've been anticipating this game for a year and this is the only thing keeping me from buying it right now.
