*Sigh* These designs are all beautiful. In fact, I've not even been able to play this game for the last couple of days after seeing the designs some people are capable of. It breaks my heart to see my own ineptitude showcased so clearly.

This is my Small Hull design...got a little carried away but had lot so fun..lol.

Oh, and I want that Gladius.

If I want to make a cool ship, does it have to be in gunmetal grey? It certainly seems to help, though that may just be me.

VagaBlade, that Gladius is very nice. Is it naturally that nice?
Do you have custom textures, graphics tweaks, or do I just need to update my ATI 9600 graphics card to get things looking that nice even in the designer screen?

Bovine Cannibal ...Nahh nothing special used...just took a little time...what really sucks is that I thought I had updated the game to 1.0X...well come to find out the patch did not take for one reason or another and I was still using 1.0D...so when I re-patched it to 1.0X..guess what...no Gladius...

So now I have to start from scratch...oh well it was so much fun the first time

Vaga - use the savegame trick. If you had savegames with that ship in them prior to the update, load up the savegame and the custom will be rebuilt for you.

Just a couple from my latest game. Both made using my mod, as you can see the first has no base hull at all (built entirely from jewelry) and the second has a Large or Huge model used as a Cargo, with other hulls strapped on as jewelry.

I generally outfit these with survey mods in midgame when there's still a chance of anomalies, but i drop it for more engines late in the game. I like my sensor shis to be FAST.

No engines, no sensors, no life support. Designed to spend its entire time orbiting a planet... basically just a weapon & defense platform... shame cause its so purdy ^^

I was looking for a peaceful, relaxing design that would put my neighbours at ease and convince them once and for all i have no interest in bloodshed... thus, the Eagle was born. I think it satisfies its design brief wonderfully, dont you?

The galactic neighbours werent convinced by the Eagle, so i designed this to do some real hard convincing. Make 'em terminally convinced, so to say.

Also known as "Doom Wagon" and "Fleet-in-a-Can". I've taken out multiple empires with just one fleet of 4-5 of these babies, never taking a single loss...

Hey all, first post, although I've been lurking. Quick question, is there a screenshot repository (location where the game saves your screenshots) I've been missing, or do I have to manually PRNTSCRN, exit, paste, and upload.

I've got some designs I'd like to share, just have no clue where the directory is.

I would like to know the above question as well...

Additionally, I would like to know how you all got those great shots of your ships. I have this hornet class colony ship I want to share, but can't do it well because the view thing cuts off my ship's design when editing it, since its centered on such a low reference point. And if I zoom out, it loses so much quality.

Raziaar, I've noticed it's far easier to get a good angle while in battle mode, especially for the ultra-large ships. Plus, if you don't mind equipping them, you can get some nice action shots in while you're at it (I generally don't like equipping them since it sometimes ruins/changes the design...but only sometimes

Wow, thats pretty sweet Lohengram... are you using the any hull mod? I dont quite get how you managed to connect the fin under the main hull that way.. but ive only played like 3 games... care to share some tips?
